Kayrella Paper is a small collection of artful paper goods: postcards, greeting cards, prints, and handmade books. Each piece starts by hand. Drawn and shaped one at a time. I’m Kay, the artist behind it. I grew up surrounded by creativity. My family is full of natural-born creatives who sketched, built, and designed with ease. I used to tag along to construction sites, seeing how something imagined could become something built. At home, my mom would draw paper dolls by hand, then design and cut out tiny outfits with fold-over tabs. I thought they were wonderful. She also wrote in cursive, so graceful it felt like drawing. I kept trying to imitate it as a child, so I picked it up early. Those quiet moments shaped how I see paper, not just as material, but as something to care about.
It started with art illustrations made for the joy of creating. That turned into cards, prints, and eventually hand-bound books. I’ve always loved paper, texture, and the way something as ordinary as paper can carry so much thought, care, and intention. Crafting, drawing, and planning have always felt natural. Turning small ideas into pieces people can hold, send, or keep. Kayrella Paper is a return to what I’ve always loved. Work with feeling. Pieces made with care and time. Nothing here is mass produced. If it’s in the shop, it was made with intention, start to finish.
